The Turbulence D3 helicopter is Hirobo's Competition grade 3D model.
This helicopter allows the pilot to perform the most extreme of 3D
maneuvers with ease, precision, and repeatability to insure a
competitive edge.
The SSZ-IV rotor head provides 30° of pitch
range with no binding. Cyclic range allows for nearly 9° of deflection.
The dampening system is a specialized progressive system that also
restricts feathering axle movement to the vertical axis.
The
standard 2mm thick G10 frames allow for easy access to all major
components while providing a superior rigid platform. The minimalist
main fuel tank frame lowers vibration transmission to ensure consistent
fuel delivery. A 100c header tank to prevent half-tank lean-out and
extend flight times is now standard.
A new clutch design allows
for less setup time and fast engine removal. New CNC cut Delrin gears
allow the use of the most powerful of .90-size power plants. The CNC
aluminum high torque autorotation unit is also standard equipment. A
new cooling fan shroud fully extends over the cooling fins of modern
.90-size engines. This shroud is also compatible with the Eagle3 and
Freya models equipped when equipped with carbon lower frames.
The
swash plate control system is an adaptation of the Eagle3 SWM
configuration. A hybrid swash plate allows the pilot to change between
120* and 135* geometry without changing major parts.
The tail
servo is located on the front of the main frame to eliminate fuel
soaking and improve fore-aft balance. The rudder linkage has also been
strengthened using 5mm aluminum linkage rods.
A new tail hub
incorporates 5mm axles, larger 5mm ID bearings and stronger blade grips
for precise tail control. A carbon fiber vertical tail fin has been
included to lower weight and enhance the appearance.
This model is designed in Japan, made in Japan, with Japanese quality as usual, just like
any
other Hirobo helicopters. We deeply appreciate many 3D pilots from US,
from Europe, from elsewhere, for their inputs and extensive tests over
a year.
At last we would like to appreciate our customers all over the world for your patience |
